Brain-related concerns such as autism, depression, anxiety, addictions, learning disabilities, dementia, stroke, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and Parkinson’s disease affect one out of every three people worldwide. Breakthrough scientific discoveries are urgently needed.
Compared to other organs in the body, relatively little is known about the factors that shape brain health. Discovering the basis of brain health may be the most important medical challenge of our time.
The Brain Health Initiative seeks to unlock the many unanswered questions about brain health and advance the field by creating a multi-disciplinary, multigenerational study to take place in the Florida Gulf Coast region.
